Pick yourself a team It could be more entertaining for you if you pick a team to follow. That may sound silly, since they are all Indian, and it is difficult to relate to any of them in the same way as you might relate to a favourite soccer team. IPL3 was the first tournament I watched, and I chose to support Chennai from the beginning because they play in yellow. But as the tournament has progressed I have developed a strong liking for Deccan Chargers. Both teams playing in semi-final 2 right now, and I'm not sure who I want to win. As for the final, it's probably right that Mumbai win because they've been a class apart this year. T20 is here to stay, and Test cricket should go away. If T20 was the traditional form of cricket, and somebody had the idea of a 5-day 2-innings match, I think they'd be laughed at most heartily. Tomid3:59pm Thu 22 Apr
Loved watching the IPL Great tournament. Caught as much around work as possible. I have got to be honest and say the IPL is far superior comapared to the English domestic 20-20 competition. The atmosphere is just fantstic and so many world class players from all the test playing nations who play as if they are playing in their own countries such is the camaraderie. On to the semis and the final which promise to be spectacular. Although the series is getting a bit long (the group stage is too long for my liking), I will miss it when its over.
Hope ITV snap up the rights to the September's champions league in South Africa (prime time so good viewing figures in prospect) which will of course involve at least two English county sides as well the best 20-20 sides from otehr countries. Pete1:21am Wed 21 Apr

Overkill I watched IPL1 and 2, but after a few games of IPL3 fatigue is setting in. Expanding the series next year is ill-advised and will lead to overkill. even the commentary is not too bad watching the IPL has been really good. the problem with ITV sport is that the commentary is built around catch-phrases (see andy townsend and robbie earle-) but this time its a little more interesting and insightful.
