Great Movie Michael Douglas at his absolute best. A gritty film showing how easy it is to become the 'bad guy' I felt so sorry for this character and almost equally as sorry for the detective hunting him down, Robert Duvall with another sterling performance. Michael Douglas is the bad guy... Lest we forget, Michael, son of Kirk, husband of Catherine Zeta, is actually not a bad actor in his own right, and has acted pretty well in and otherwise made some pretty good films down the years, since leaving "The Streets of San Francisco". Here Douglas hits the mark as an ordinary man who has a rather extraordinary mental breakdown and turns vigilante against immoral society. Ticotin and Duvall play the cops on his trail. He does what we dream of doing! How many times have you wished you could let go at some irritating lowlife? Well Mr Douglas does just that here. From a road rage incident his building frustration escalates his actions throughout the film. Sure he's a bit of a nutter but he is still a dark hero. jim5:53pm Mon 2 Jul
