Fantastic Mr Fox
Not really a kids movie, but decent enough otherwise.
This movie is ok. It follows the style of other Wes Anderson movies, though his style seems out of place in this kind of movie. It's post-modern, quirky, and the humour is mostly at an adult level. Very unlike the Roald Dahl book. Additionally, the movie has a lot of pretend / fake swearing in which, while nowhere near as bad as proper swearing, still seems unsuitable for a kids' movie. Eg. "Stop 'cussing' around, or else we'll be in deep cussing trouble." "Do you want me to cuss you up? You stupid cuss!" etc. etc.

The Day the Earth Stood Still
C'mon you guys..
It's not that bad..lol! I never heard of the original before this one hit the cinemas, so I watched this one first then watched the original too. I liked them both, but if I'm honest, I think I like this one best. Keanu Reeves is a very convincing Klaatu who is torn between fighting the humans or destroying their race. I still think the remake was a good idea for people like me who didn't know the original because we're not die-hard sci-fi fans. Got 2 thumbs up from me

Doctor Love
Award-winning romantic drama about an affair between a waitress and her doctor. I can't believe anybody would give this film 4/10, it's a really unusual, heartwarming story. The director Adrienne Shelly (who appears as one of the waitresses) was actually hanged with her own shower-curtain later the same year. A case of fact being stranger than fiction.

Those old f*rts at the Academy proved they've lost the plot. Again. There is no way this is the best movie of 2009. It's not bad at all but it's certainly overated by the, so called, film critics. I've watched it once, I don't think I'll touch it again.

Steven Seagal did a similar film, maybe even two, but Snipes can act, the script is slightly better and he doesnt walk around with that constipated pained look on his face like Seagal does! Not a bad film but not Wesleys best either. Certainly watchable for action freaks like me.

Romantic thriller
This is an unusual mix of sci-fi, thriller and romance. A politician (Matt Damon) has a couple of chance encounters with a beautiful dancer (Emily Blunt). Or are they chance encounters? He has this feeling the two of them are meant to be together. But a strange group of men in hats want to keep them apart at all costs. In my view, the intense romantic interludes are what make this film worth watching. Matt Damon is excellent as always, but the real revelation is Emily Blunt, who is amazing (and British).

Die Private Krankenversicherung oder aber auch PKV ist eine Krankenversicherung, welche sehr genau zu vergleichen ist, bevor man sich für eine Private Krankenvollversicherung entscheidet. Hintergrund sind die doch sehr unterschiedlich zugeschnittenen Tarifprodukte der einzelnen Anbieter für Private Krankenversicherungen. Billigtarife zu PKV gewähren zwar günstige Beiträge, allerdings kann bei solchen PKV`s das Leistungsniveau durchaus auch unterhalb dessen was die GKV leistet liegen.

Where Eagles Dare
One of the greatest movies ever
this is definately one the greatest war movies ever made. if you like the dirty dozen, kelly's heroes, inglourious basterds (the original) then you'll like this. I absolutely love it, even though it was made quiet a few years before i was even born.

The Adjustment Bureau
A sci-fi love story
A budding politician (Matt Damon) falls for a budding ballet dancer (Emily Blunt). He then discovers that humanity is being manipulated by a mysterious organisation which has awesome powers and wants to keep the two lovers apart. The whole movie is about the hero's efforts to get back together with the heroine. OK, it's not Oscar material, but it's still an enjoyable romantic comedy with special effects, played with a lot of panache by the two leads.

Modern Classic
OK, it misses contemporary CGI (things were tougher in those days), but its not only men v shark. Its a far more subtle psychological tussle between opinions, bigotry, fears and strength against the hidden adversary. And of course, as nearly all American films do, ends up a victory of those that spurn their fears and vanquish the evil.
