His Dad is the first poster on this so sad
He has clearly been voting on it too as it did not deserve 1 star out of 10!!! His Dad is the reason he doubted his whole community. If his own Dad was ashamed of him how could he expect anyone else to support him...

What do u know at 16 ??
gay , straight or whatever at 16 ur only just finding your feet in the world and dont really know jack . Do you what you gotta but jumping into a doc hopping your going to spotted as the next Lily Savage isnt really that inspiring . 16 and trapped in a mans body struggling to be a woman , now that would be a struggle worth bringing to the publics attention , not some kid who like to wear a frock and lipstick ffs . Im gay so my comments are not bigoted , I just live in the real world were young people have " real problems " in their lives !

Who knew this was going to be such a beautiful film? So thoughtful when it could have been so superficial. Amazing doc! Let's hope we see more from Jamie... x

Cool Brits
Impressed by his supportive family and friends and classmates who helped get him into the prom despite the school trying to exclude him for wearing a dress. Most Brits are open minded and accepting of difference. His dad, one parent who used the 'disgusting' word, and the first poster on here (before the show was broadcast) may actually be the minority nowadays.

well done
I have just watched the documentary on Jamie Campbell, and it was a very heart warming programme. I was especially impressed with all the support given to Jamie when attending his school prom. After all these occasions are there to help young people grow, and become confident as adults going into this big world of ours, something I think the teachers missed in their training, and it was just so brilliant to see that it was the students who showed maturity, and a balanced attitude towards the situation. Well done, and good luck Jamie, I hope you find your niche, and have a happy life ahead of you.

All the best.
You are certainly not lacking in courage, which you should be proud of. I wish you the best of luck for the future.
Foxy 10:06pm Wed 20 Jul
The magnitude of your bravery is unquestionable.

Being yourself
There's always someone who'll tell you what you can and can't do but as this programme shows there's far less prejudice around than you think. While the lad found the courage to be himself it was impressive to also find that nearly everyone him was accepting. Except his dad and one bigoted parent who tried to stop him going to the prom.

good luck jamie
wish i had your style

Oh really!!
So before you are 16 you decide where your life is going (well done). By age 16 you have committed to a media event. If it works out for you - then great, I just hope it's worth it in the long run. Have a good life
