Love it. Ive read the first two books.
Yes the tv show doesnt follow the books. But it doesnt matter. Its another story in itself. To be honest. I prefer the tv show.
Shame they didnt renew for a season 3. xx MysNatt10:27pm Sun 18 Sep

Yawn It's not an exact rendition, tv shows never are. As a tv show it's very entertaining. Yaspaa7:12pm Thu 11 Mar
full review So it finished airing last week. By the time of my first comment there had been 11 episodes with only 4 of them having any credibility to the source material. All 22 have now shown and guess what the final number was? Yep, you guessed it, 4. Not even the finale had enough credibility to bring that number up to 5. In fact the second half of the series did a spectacular job of murdering books further down the line, with the plot of The Pillars of Creation (Book 7) being destroyed in the space of 40 minutes. Maybe they didn't intend to get that far with it but as the show has been renewed for a season 2, you'd think that they would try and preserve the plot of book 2 a bit more but no, in fact if what notes have been released about season 2 are anything to go by, the plot lines closer resemble book 3 than book 2. I won't be watching another season. Goodkind's books mean too much to be to go through that again. This deserved a competent team behind it and it didn't get one. adg5:37pm Mon 26 Oct
hmm... So I've just finished episode 11, that makes 4, and I mean only 4 of them which actually have ANY credibility against the book by Terry Goodkind from which the series is based. In fact most of the time the show seems to set out to contradict the lore of Goodkind's world setting is any way it possibly can. It manges to be entertaining and to be honest its still one of the better programs on TV right now, but all it truly does show is that a book like Goodkind's should NOT be made into a tv series. A film would have worked better. adg2:01pm Fri 18 Sep
