adverts buy a PVR/Hard Drive Recorder. Start recording, go do something useful with the first half hour of the film. Then select "chase play". Every time an advert comes on hit the "skip to next chapter" button or ff exactly 5 minutes. You will finish watching the film about the same time as the broadcast.
