Though pick your words carefully and becareful as to how you let your attitude out. You woudln't like it if we all thought that you should die, and our attitude is positive about that. Hebridean teenager A recently discoveed teenagers body. The conclusion is murder. The parents have to come to terms with appalling grief, especially in a place where murder is virtually unheard of. About a week later Matthew Wrigth uses the news report as a vehicle for snorting, guffawing humour. He makes a grudging, completely insincere and effectively meaningless apology only because it is demanded of him and tells those who are justifiably offended by him and question if his position in the media is tenable to grow up. The hubris and conceit of the man are almost beyond belief and those programme organisers who continue to support his show must ask how they would feel if their loved ones were dealt with in the same way. Liam Aitichison Myself and my family were deeply DISGUSTED by the attitude of The Wright Stuff panel on the tragic death of Uist teenager, Liam Aitichison. To joke about this very heartbreaking incident as a programme from "Taggart" is completely insensitive and discriminating. Matthew Wright appeared to have no sincere apology and then joke that people have been complained to Ofcom for him to lose his job. Extremely inappropriate and disgusting behaviour!! Mock the Aged Having never felt the need to complain before, I take exception to the hilarity expressed by Mr Wright and his guests on his show to the pensioners requiring to use a tambourine to attract the attention of Staff in a Hospital. The frail people could not lift a hand bell as it was too heavy and without a modern system to help the answer was to use the tambourine. For Mr Wright and his guests to turn this into a joke by making disparaging comments and suggesting it would make good tv to give them drugs and show the effects as a tv programme is disgusting.
Change the description from Old people to Disabled, Blind, Alzheimer’s or any of the other unfortunates in society and see what you have just condoned and aired as policy.

benefits the idea of testing everyone again for incapacity or disabilty is not the best solution. However, I definately feel that we need to set up a better system to monitor AFTER peopel are granted a benefit as this is very poor compared to the rigorous way in which they grill you before you can get the benefit! M Wright is so rude & offensive Some time ago I complained about the way Mathew Wright refers to babies/toddlers as RUG RATS amongst other rude and offensive remarks....He has since that complaint complied...However today Mon 6th June 2009 at 10.36 he has once again used that offensive description...It is a real shame that a program that is so interesting and he generally so clever at presenting it, should spoil and degrade it this way...
