Foy Quite lush. And Claire Foy is stunning. Gordon3:26am Fri 26 May
Dumbing down again If the BBC think this is good drama they have dumbed down to the level of Channel 5. It is,by far,the worst drama series on tv. Laura Berry9:34am Tue 27 Mar
good I disagree with the previous comments I found this a good drama with each of the characters very well representing the issues which were taking place at the time. tony10:47am Sun 25 Mar
Very Boring I agree with the other comments. This is a very poor series for the BBC and I was thoroughly bored. Though I am not a big fan of Downton Abbey I would watch that any day compared to this poor attempt of period drama. Mabs8:18pm Sun 18 Mar
What happened? After all the hype I expected something stunning and entertaining, but I just ended up bored and wondering what the point of it was. Grimly sat through three episodes in the hope it would get better. I was sadly disappointed and have now given up watching it. aitch6:09pm Mon 12 Mar
What a turn off! Very disappointing. It seems that the BBC can no longer produce the quality period drama that it used to - period drama mixed with today's polical correctness does not work.
I wouldn't be surprised if the viewing figures take a nosedive. Offa2:15pm Mon 5 Mar
stereo stereotypical pre ww1 lesbian character smoking cigar,i say pre ww1 because of 1900s motoring coat she wears at all times iwas surprised to see it missing in the bedroom scene mr henrys parrot7:10am Mon 5 Mar
dissapointing Characters/actors were very boring with a very dull story line.

Shame Production, costumes and set design - great. Writing - awful. It's a big-budget House of Elliot. What a shame. With each scene lasting no more than 30 seconds, it's clearly 'Made for America'. Richard Chelsea10:29pm Wed 29 Feb
Upstairs Downstairs I do hope that we in Oz get to see the rest od the episodes. I enjoyed it Sami1:42am Sun 3 Jul
Sugary The conclusion of the final episode was sickly sentimentality worthy of Mills and Boone. Awful! Why can't we have real dramas?7:09pm Thu 30 Dec
see it for what it is lovely, nostalgic period drama.I always enjoy the political and contextual history from a domestic point of view and how it may have effected peoples lives. A good honest and gentle bit of entertianment. Well done. el8:54pm Wed 29 Dec
Hope we see more in 2011 I cant understand why this has only been rated with a 4.1 I would give it 10 it is a brilliant series I love it chatting6:38pm Wed 29 Dec
Hoped for better I was looking forward to watching what I hoped would be a great drama....
For me it was lacking in a proper story. Some of the key people were not at all convincing. Please can the BBC look for someone with imagination? JaxM4:35pm Wed 29 Dec
ridiculous looks like an expensive copy of a period drama made by 20's newbies drivel8:45pm Tue 28 Dec
The BBC has a charter to serve ALL TASTES - as we ALL pay the License Fee.

Great Loved it the first time round and think this is brillient. kayp5:00pm Mon 27 Dec
A slightly lack lustre start, but it looks promising Disappointing start to this wonderful series lacked a real story unlike the old series. I hope it warms up. Not too bad but i don’t wish the BBC would spend money on getting some script writers with some imagination, or are they extinct nowadays Mark10:05pm Boxing Day
