oh no, not again...
Oh dear, poor Austen will be turning in her grave once again.... another weak, poorly cast and modernised version of a wonderful book. Ang Lee captured the emotion and depth of Austen far better than this....

interesting
There were weak parts to the filming, and casting, but i loved the ending, and it did give a great finish to an complicated love life with an exciting and unexpected ending with the final proposal. a great period drama. i also agree Willoughby is not as attractive as they all make out!!!

Willoughby not attractive enough!!!
definately agree with the previous comments on this matter, especially as we were quite literally spoilt with the actor in the film!

Improvement AGAIN...
If only they could redo the first APPALLING episode, for the final chapter was beautiful! A few 'strange' choices of direction of the plot - and this time many carbon copy shots of the Pride and Prejudice film - but some original and fresh ideas, especilly regarding Col. Brandon and Marianne's relationship and Eleanor's joy at Edwar's proposal was charming. Now redo the first chapter!

Bad casting
Yes the sublime Ang Lee version is not challenged by this version, casting is not good enough nor the acting. There's no fresh aspects. Disappointing

Improvement on the last episode
The first episode was such a disappointment that I couldn't help thinking why remake it when Thompson's beautifully penned adaptation is still fresh in the audience's memory? However, this week delivered the charm and sensitivity that Austin adaptations should aspire to recreate. Looking forward to the next chapter...

Waste of money
Totally agree that casting is dissapointing and speech/manner of most actors too modern. It's nearly a scene by scene rip off of Ang Lee's superior film version. What a waste of license payers' money!
