A US Navy lieutenant is murdered at the Defence Logistics Agency, while visitings the office of an admiral currently away at sea. As the team investigates the scene of the crime, they realise a rare painting found in the admiral's office is actually an elaborate fake placed there after the killing, replacing the stolen original. As the quest to locate the missing artwork gets under way, the agents realise they need the help of an expert. Luckily, Tony's con-artist father has returned to town, having broken up with his fiancee, and is on hand to provide expert advice as the hunt for the killer takes them into the shady world of the black market.
