Moving
This would have been an excellent program if it didnt have that gurning fool presenting it. The first hand accounts especially Brian James's were unbearably moving, the count down to the first bomb chilling. Shame about Tony Robinson's crassness

GOOD
I thought it was interesting to see the devastating effects of the SC500 - a 1000 lb bomb - which kills over a large area by the shock wave sucking air from victims' lungs, leaving them otherwise intact. And the revelation that Churchill was the first to intentionally bomb civilians.

Tony Robinson's focus turns to the V1, a German jet-powered flying bomb first used to attack Britain in the summer of 1944, shortly after the D-Day landings. Eyewitnesses describe the buzzing noise that could be heard as the aircraft, nicknamed the doodlebug, passed overhead, and the terror they felt when the engine stopped, signalling an explosion was imminent
