Alex Polizzi pays a visit to Devon's historic Churston Court. Chris Hodson and Jonathan Smith fell in love with the old building with their hearts rather their heads, and five months in the pair now realise the amount of work needed to bring the hotel into the 21st century. Alex arrives a night early to find a cluttered, dark decor with no one on reception and quickly realises she needs to help motivate Chris to change the way he manages his team. Can she reverse decades of ugly decor, teach her hosts to clear the clutter, erase the oppressive red and herald a more glamorous, curated look?
