Because as my previous comment it id more to do with the presenter than anything else. They think they are what the show is all about and ike the sound of their own voice. They are the dimwits if they don't know how irritating they are.

One last time
Alexander thinks that viewers cannot read and cannot hear. Why on earth does he have to read the clues 'one last time' as if we did not hear him the first time. We can read . Please don't treat us as dimwits

If they won £1000 they were going to blow the lot on a slap up meal in London and a bottle of whiskey. Glad that they didn't win.

I hate it when they call everyone mate. I am not and never will be! I also knew I was getting older when I started getting called darling and sweatheart in shops. Worst still when your addressed by your first name only. Stop it!

Also when they end a sentence with the word SO . . . . . as though they are going to say something else but never do.

My pet hate
is when people start a sentencewith the word "so". The female contestant has every time she was asked anything. Some also raise their tone at the end of their sentence as if they were asking a question too. Why?? It is not correct grammar!!
