Fiona Bruce presents a special edition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and the Blitz. Combining stories from all over the country with a special event filmed at Biggin Hill Airfield, this episode tells the story of a defining moment in Britain's war, through the people and objects who were there. Fiona begins on board the iconic Supermarine Spitfire, flying over the Weald of Kent. Then, she and the team uncover the stories from family mementos, including a scramble bell that got the pilots into the air, ops room models that tracked their every move and a steering column from a British fighter shot down in combat
