Ruth Watson heads to the outskirts of Watford to visit Garston Manor, a Grade II-listed Georgian house, which headmistress Sheila O'Neill has refurbished and converted into a Montessori school with reasonable success. Unfortunately, her attempts to diversify the building's uses have met with failure - but Ruth suspects her free-spirited daughters' eccentric plans for the property, including a treasure hunt and a UFO academy, might help turn its fortunes around
