Has the feel good factor. Being born in the late forties myself I can relate to the storylines and the music. Always leaves me in tears . 'In a good way'

Love Call The Midwife
Call The Midwife I think it is one of the best series we have on t.v. I hope the writers keep writing and that we have more series after this one. The actors are great as are the story lines. Well Done everyone .x.

Sorry I can't agree, Call The Midwife may well be based on a time in the 50s when I was in my early teens but it's portrayed like the many other soap that we have already clogging our airwaves, then perhaps the series of Garrow's Law which was replaced by it is more for the more intellectual and appreciative audience like myself....but then soaps seem to be the British way of life now..

They definitely had them in the late 50s ( my dad used to bring them home from the pub for us,also Salt and Vinegar !!) .I think that this series is in the 60s anyway?

Was so looking forward to this new series only to be let down by the disgusting language used in some of the scenes. Even more so when some involved a young child. How do the scriptwriters/producers get away with it in pre watershed programmes

Please please please, it's programme not program. Let's not slip into lazy American punctuation. Oh yes, great series.
