The yankie version
A fair bit of research spoiled by any real hope of historical impartiality. What is a shocker is how again and again the US was (often secretly) prepared to consider using the bomb. Thank god Russia (and China) bottled it otherwise we'd all be dust.

An American View of history
Interesting to note that the enigma code breaking was all due to the American 'bomb' calculating machines!! No mention of Colossus!! Whenever the Brits solve a problem its a 'break' - wow, how lucky can you get??? Good throughout, but a rich vein of American supremacist ideology runs through the programme. (By the way...no undue criticism...thanks for your help, and UK would not have survived without you...but you didn't do the whole thing alone!
