A telling documentary: Western gung-ho tv team meets Eastern mountain philosophy, new meets old, science meets religion, all sides are clearly rather stunned and bewildered by the experience and this is what armchair traveling should be about. At least our brave journalist got it in the end.

Hmmm Crunchy. We lived with him from being sick on frog hallucinogenic to the monkeys he keeps eating. Bruce Parry is the new David Attenborough and provides an involved experience that moves from just observation to true interaction. As we all take our holiday experiences more seriously and want to get more engaged with the environment, Tribe lets you see the differences in people and their goals as we move to a more homogenised global society. Tribe is exceptional viewing.
