Never as good
A film is never as good as a book. Not having read the book, I wish I hadn't bothered watching the film either!

Bad book/ bad film
A terrible adaptation of a bad book. Tom Hanks is badly miscast.

The book was gawd-awful as was Angels and Demons. How on earth did such badly structured, puerile writing become best sellers is a mystery...

The concept is believable, probably more believable than the official version of events(which were written by comity), but the story just isn't that well written and i didn't think that much of the film(can't say i've bothered with the book). Good if you're a conspiracy nut, watchable if you're just a normal person, and hated if you're a serious god wobbler.

The back story? Fine. So Jesus had babies all over the place. Fine. I. Don't. Care. But this chase thing - how did Reno get authority to whisk people away in British police cars? And so forth and so on. Written by a pitiable rank amateur.

Entertaining? Mildly. A croc? Definitely. Brown is an idiot of a writer playing into the conspiracy theorists. Of course. But worse: the story makes no sense at all. High-faluting chase movie. Wow. So impressed. It's junk. Pure unadulterated junk.
