Absolutely
Especially this episode was brilliant, Hille phenomenal. What a shock to move from this superior thoughtful work to three straight hours of US manufactured pabulum for idiots (Ironside). Why do ITV have to import?

Today Better Than Morse
Today this goes down better than Morse but 'just' - if there's something better on we'll watch it. Thaw is great, always great. But it's not just riveting enough - not with this channel stuffed to the gills with detective/crime drama one after the other day in day out.

Heartland A single mother from Sunderland asks Kavanagh to prosecute the neighbourhood vigilante she suspects of attempting to murder her teenage tearaway son in a hit-and-run incident. At first he has misgivings about accepting a case so far from home, but finally agrees - only to find his already strained family life suffering as a result. Tense legal drama, starring John Thaw and Lisa Harrow, with a guest appearance by Robert Glenister
