Competitive couple Mike and Lisa kick off the competition in Worcester with an Italian menu inspired by their upcoming wedding in Sorrento. However, before the food is served, the hosts overhear Steve and his outspoken wife Linda criticising the table decorations. On day two Linda and Steve cook up a tried-and-tested homemade menu, but Lisa is looking to find fault with the food. Finally, expectations are high for married couple Paul and Paul, who take a risk in search of rewards
