Not the best but... This isn't even the best sci-fi film ever let alone the best film ever.

Just Awesome I echo a lot of the sentiments on here .... this film isnt just one of the best sci fi's of all time its one of the best films all time full stop,just pure class all the way through , definatly betters the first for me which is also class.

They come at night, mostly The first 2 alien films certainly put a lot of modern offerings to shame. This one uses the motion detetcor to great effect and am guessing by the 2hr 50 min running time it isn't the cut version so the story will be explained a lot better. Because of the colonial marines i think this one appeals more to the boys than the girls, so I'd put it on par with the first. Still a must see

Versions II I prefer the first out of the two, the first just has more originality, of course Dark Star was inspiration but Aliens is essentially Vietnam in space. I'd say that Alien has a lot more in common with an art-house movie. I'll end by saying both have their merits. The third I have to say its lucky it's coherent at all, given half way through the director and project was sacked and redesigned. Look at Finchers work after this. Ford12:32am Sun 21 Feb

Unbelievable This is simply, the great Sci-Fi movie ever made. Yes, Alien was superb, and Ridly nailed it. But, for once, the sequel surpasses the original and James Cameron has not only nailed this one, hes pretty much nailed straight through it. Its a sublime film, from beginning to end.
