Remarkable and extraordinary film. Do not read too much into comments (particularly about Carey's straight role). Both leads are fantastic. A truly beautiful film.

Best film you'll see in a long long time.
This is my favourite film probably. A very inspiring plot, and very well filmed and directed. Such dynamics.

Brilliant Film - Must See
A complete must see in my opinion. Such an original film for its genre - you will definitely not regret watching it.
I personally dislike the idea of Jim Carrey in a film such as this one, but I changed my mind completely after watching - both his and Kate Winslets' performances are beautiful.
The storyline is not at all predictable - I needed to watch it twice before I completely understood it.
I really cannot stress how important it is that you watch this film.

Better than most romantic comdies!
This is one of the best romantic films I've ever seen. Unlike most other films, the main characters are not depicted as perfect; their charm, and the charm of the relationship, is based on their failings. Joel is a creative loner, Clementine is a fiery free spirit. Each has something the other needs - the memories of the time they spent together. The surrealism, the low-key effects, the characters all combine to make a beautiful, disarming and believable fantasy.
