If parents only knew..
If parents actually paid attention to the plot, dialogue and lyrics of Grease they would think twice about letting their kids watch out.
The lyrics to the song "Grease Lightning" are notorious but most people seem quite oblivious, it's like their brains are hearing something different to the sounds entering their ears.
"You know that ain't no S**T, we'll be getting lots of T*T in Grease Lightning"
"you know that I ain't bragging, she's a real P**SY wagon"
"You are supreme, the chicks'll CREAM for grease lightning"
And the movie itself is subtly quite nasty and violent with flick-knives on display, implied death threats and a general misogynistic attitude that permeates throughout. Grease is sexist, violent and racist yet gets away with it because everyone thinks - mistakenly - that it's a family-friendly musical for all ages.
