Film Clash of the Titans (1981)
Fantastic adventure following the exploits of Greek hero Perseus as he battles to save Princess Andromeda from being sacrificed to a ferocious sea monster. But first he must embark on a journey into the underworld and a confrontation with the monstrous Medusa, whose gaze can turn a man to stone. Hollywood special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen steals the show with his carefully crafted monsters, which helpfully divert attention from wooden leading man Harry Hamlin. Look out for the big-name stars hamming it up as the lofty power-wielders, including Laurence Olivier, Maggie Smith, Claire Bloom and Ursula Andress
