Film Control (2007)
Premiere. Biopic of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis, starring Sam Riley as the troubled singer who took his own life at the age of 23. The band rise to success in the post-punk era of the late 1970s, but Curtis struggles with the pressures of fame, a failing marriage, uncontrollable epilepsy and an affair with a Belgian journalist. Based on the book by Curtis' wife Deborah, played in the film by Samantha Morton
