Film The Kentuckian (1955)
Burt Lancaster directs and stars as a rugged frontiersman who travels to Texas with his son to start a new life, getting drawn into a conflict with a cruel saloon owner (Walter Matthau, in his film debut) along the way. Fine, good-looking Western, based on the novel by Felix Holt, also starring Diana Lynn and John Carradine
