YAY CSI, maybe not so yay last episode. I agree that it seemed like Grissom seemed like a hard act to follow, but I think Laurence has done pretty well, I really do enjoy his screen presence. Last episode I couldn't watch past about fifteen minutes - the one with the parents getting shot and the little girl hiding in the chest in her room. It felt more intense than usual; a good start to the episode, but not one to watch when you're PMSing over puppydogs, forget POV shots from the killed and intense music D: IV9:46am Wed 5 May

Slick style but very by the numbers. I kinda like it. I watch it a lot because of the slick style and it's fun but it's soooo formulaic. All these lines they deliver to keep informing you; it seems all CSI staff just happen to know everything from Greek mythology to insect dropping shapes. Newby I'm not sure about you but I thought Grissom would be extremely difficult to follow. But the new guy; Laurence Fishburne, has such a brilliant screen presence. He has a distinctive and interesting look about him. No glamour (there is way too much of that around) but a real guy. He comes over as genuine and avuncular and he is so utterly believable.
