Why? They leave the set after the first round so as not to know the scores then file back on for the final. Completely pointless and unnecessary. mazza2:25pm Sat 12 Jan
Why? Why on earth do contestants now have to walk right across the stage to get to the chair? In ordinary Mastermind not only is it rather daunting for 'the contenders' to have to walk that far, I'm sure, but some of them look as if it is physically challenging for them to do so anyway. I don't see why the well-known format of all the years gone by has had to be changed. It adds nothing!!!! Christa8:16pm Fri 11 Jan

Celebs It takes a lot of guts for them to go on Mastermind and show how thick they are! don'tbelieveallyouread9:30pm Sun 11 Feb
Jezebel69 Well said Jez. If they are something to celebrate then God help the rest of us. Why call it 'celebrity' mastermind? Daffodil5:43pm Mon 2 Jan

Dumber and Dumber This is not Mastermind! The BBC are treating us all like fools. Sack Patten! Stu9:59pm Thu 27 Dec
What more can they do? Almost unbelievable. Questions for thick Z list failures who struggle to answer when a five year old could answer them with ease. Cheap dumbed down BBC rubbish at its very worst. Dismayed10:01am Thu 5 Jan
Masters degree ?? Rachael Riley has just said on TV that she got a Masters Degree from Oxford. Her Wikipedia entry says she got a 2:1 from Oriel Oxford. Clearly she is getting confused: her MA is not a masters - it is a BA but swapped for an MA honoris causa on the payment of a fee Philosopher Phil7:18pm Wed 4 Jan
Another BBC scandal Thanks for the heads up on the way the show is fixed. TVfan6:10pm Mon 2 Jan
@ Max Headroom Totally fixed, they are given 100 questions and answers (for their specialist subject) and they have 2 weeks to memorise these. then they get random questions from the pre-defined 100.
Also the general knowledge questions are 20 times easier for the "celebs", on a par with The Weakest Link.
Oh and the "celebs" do indeed get a Fee for appearing! Former BBC Researcher11:55pm Thu 30 Dec
Them & Us, As Per Usual Hmmm, so if one’s a ‘Celebrity’ (whatever that means today) he or she has only to compete with 3 others, in one show, to win a trophy. Whereas we surfs need to win through umpteen episodes to be handed a trophy. And what’s all this about their chosen charity? Can it be these Demi-gods are being paid to appear as well? Yes, seems very fair to me. Max Headroom6:31pm Sat 9 Jan
No Let's not let the dim celebrities look silly by asking them anything more complex than "how may feet have you got"
