Wheeler Dealers Comments

To many repeats
It would be good if the programme makers included the renovation of late vintage cars - eg the Sunbeam Rapier, Humber Hawk, MG Magnet, Jowet Javalin, etc.

What a plonker
How does Brewer get these programmes? He epitomises everything dodgy about second hand car dealers. An awful presentation style, full of his own overblown ego. I don’t know anyone who watches these programmes which is a shame as it is a good idea. But please, Get someone better to present it.

Repeated ad nauseam
most (normal) people are sick to death of continual repeats. Either make some new ones or take the programme off the screen and GIVE US A BREAK!!!

Brewer
What makes Quest keep on this appaling presenter. He epitomises everything that is bad about second-hand car dealers, and he is not even very good at that. Quest does show some good programmes, but more and more seems to be descending to promoting the likes of him.

Charity
Hi guys have you ever thought of doing a car up for a charity and auction it while you are doing it up , and who ever is highest bidder can collect on tv ,find cars what people would want them to them up, good idea

Volvo P1800 for £8,350. In your dreams.
How did the producer get to a price of £8,350 for the Volvo P1800 on todays showing of Wheeler Dealer? A glance at the Internet shows prices way over that?

Brewers useless
He sells cars that are mint for say 7k when a scrapper is going for more. cars he should be selling for 25k/30k The volvo p1800 springs to mind

See how well they did
Have a search for the history of the restrored car on the internet using the registration number. It is interesting to see which ones are still on the road - some seem to have major MOT failures despite the restoration

My review of wheeler dealers.
Mr brewer and ed successfully restored pater's bathchair. It only had one wheel and Gungadin was having trouble pushing pater around as even though he is only three feet six he weighs twenty stones.

Lousy
Mike Brewer couldn't sell drink to an alcoholic. I've forgotten more about cars than he knows about selling them. Not worth watching without Ed, who made the show. Zero out of 10.

The Edd Show
Mike Brewer is a total numpty typical little fat bloke with a big ego and precious little knowledge. If Edd was being paid for his labour even at £50.00 per hour not a single car would have made a profit!!! That is not dealing that is suicide.Hi

Had its day
If you discard the first and last ten minutes with big mouth Mr Blobby plus all the crap ads, what is left is almost watchable. Could be so much better as Ed's work is always interesting

The suggestion that the prog is for DiY car fixers - ridiculous Edd a fantastically equipped workshop with car lift .

Entertaining & Informativ
Yes, it's getting a bit formulaic but I like the balance between teacher Ed and Mike the Geezer. I think if it is aimed at the home mechanic the labour costs are irrelevant. One of the best car shows.

Another daft, misleading, program. Brewer destroys an otherwise ok show .

Mike brewer cons people
The cars he buys are worth more than hes prepared to pay. Even the red alpha spider that's on tonight's show. Its worth 10k and paid 2.2k

bought a dodgy escort!!!
Didn't Mike Brewer notice the rear near side corner was nearly scraping on the road? Surprised he didn't end up in a field, oh well. Then he nearly started to cry when he saw the car was painted yellow only to go and tell the buyer it was all his idea to do it that colour, what a total t#@t. I hope Ed China tears a big strip off Brewer. Keep up the excellent work ED CHINA u da man.

Car programme
If you can put up with Mike Brewers enthusiasm and unnecessary music the only good car programme on TV. You can stick Top Gear!

totally misleading
as has been stated, this show misleads the feebleminded.none of these "Profits" they make dont factor in real labour charges; insults the intelligence and is complete BS..

Auction
Why don't they auction off the cars on-line. That would be interesting !

If it were not for Edd - 2
Mike Brewer is the very last person I would buy a car from. Edd is the main figure, and makes for interesting watching with his many tips, even tho' he appears to cut the odd corner now and then. He does know his onions, which cannot be said for that lemon, Brewer.

If it were not for Ed...
...I would never watch it. Mike is a totally unlikeable lying salesman, and Ed is a sweet knowledgeable and patient guy who seems enthusiastic about the whole thing... Chuck Mike and get a nicer guy to buy for Ed.

You must think the public is stupid if you had to pay labour charges and proper buyers you'd never sell a car that quick and be out of pocket

Dude, everybody with any intelligence knows this, the fact that you seem to think you're smart by pointing it out means you're not. They don't really make any money... well duh!

Brakes
I've noticed that no matter what's wrong with any of the cars, Edd will fit new brake discs & calipers first. Is that all he knows?

Unrealistic premise
The profits claimed on every episode do not reflect labor cost. Given the reality that labor is typically the largest component of cost in auto restoration, the show never ceases to insult one's intelligence.

Great show
Chill out everyone, it's only a show. I know a friend of a friend who has worked with Ed and he says he is a fantastic mechanic, so everyone who says negative things about the quality clearly doesn't know what they are talking about. If you don't like the show - don't watch it. Personally, I love it!

It is about keeping classics on the road really that is the point of the show, if you saw Ed servicing cars every week that would be really boring and not make good TV. I do believe that the cars are checked and serviced before they are sold and TBH i think the sales of the vehicles are staged but hey ho who cares. If you hark back to the cosworth Sierra one he exchanged some alloys, the ones he exchanged had really poor tyres but when Ed put them on they were new but they were not in the price breakdown. The cars are safe when they leave the workshop and i think Ed is a fantastic "mechanic" I would pitch him against the best..A good light entertainment show
