Escape from Dubai: The Mystery of the Missing Princess
In February, the 32-year-old daughter of the ruler of Dubai boarded a boat to start a new life in America. But within days Princess Latifa was intercepted by Indian commandos and she was presumably returned to Dubai. This documentary pieces together her life, revealing how she had been planning her escape for more than seven years, and investigates the mystery of her older sister, Shamsa, who disappeared from the streets of Cambridge in 2000 after fleeing the family's British mansion. The film also asks if the image of Dubai being sold to the public, of winter sunshine and luxury hotels, is hiding a brutal dictatorship of human rights abuses
