Tina (2021)
Born Anna Mae Bullock in 1939, Tina Turner has sold in excess of 100 million records and earned numerous plaudits including Grammy awards and induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame with her first husband, Ike Turner. She was the first woman to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and dabbled in acting including a memorable performance opposite Mel Gibson in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Following a prolonged period of ill health, Turner intends to retire from the spotlight with her second husband, Erwin Bach. She bids farewell to her fans in the emotional documentary Tina. Directed by Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin, the film invites the singer to reminisce about her turbulent life and career with glowing contributions from friends, family and fans including Oprah Winfrey and Angela Bassett.
