Matt Lucas takes over from Sandi Toksvig as host for the 2020 series, alongside returning presenter Noel Fielding and regular judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. The 12 contestants for this series have been required to form a social bubble due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. The contest begins with Cake Week, beginning with a signature challenge to produce a classic Battenberg. For the technical round, Paul sets the contestants the task of making a fruit sponge, and the final Showstopper Challenge gives the bakers a chance to express their creativity
The Great British Bake Off airs on Food Network at 12:00 PM, Tuesday 16 April.
