Moira sent him away so he didn\u2019t insult all the doctors and nurses while she was under.<\/p>\n<p>He stomped off while Moira was put to sleep and she went into a parallel universe where she was reunited with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/2024\/11\/20\/holly-barton-emmerdale-relationship-aaron-drug-addiction-untimely-death\/\">dead daughter Holly<\/a>. As Holly tried to persuade Moira to be with her, in the real world, the operation became more complicated.<\/p>\n<p>But not allowing herself to be led off by Holly, Moira chose to stay with her boys, Kyle and Isaac, and survived the operation. Why on earth would they have Cain do the unthinkable and cheat on Moira when she is so vulnerable?<\/p>\n<p>And just as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/2024\/10\/23\/ruby-fast-becoming-favourite-character-heres-love\/\">Ruby is starting to become likeable<\/a> and have more to her than just her plotting and sharp tongue, she goes and sets herself back. So far back, in fact, she\u2019s almost too far gone.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Fans definitely agree! They felt the soap had hit just the right notes with the first half \u2013 and then totally ruined it with the second.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst half of that episode was brilliant, Natalie is truly phenomenal. The second half of that episode was the biggest [bleep] storm ever to grace our tv screens. Protect Moira at all costs now,\u201d said one on X.<\/p>\n<p>Another addressed the soap directly: \u201cDear Emmerdale, how can you do something as lovely as the first half of tonight\u2019s episode and then do something as horrible, inexplicable and utterly out of character as in the second? Who thought that was a good idea? Well done EDHQ for ruining such an important story with a pathetic plot device!!!!!\u201d added a fifth.<\/p>\n<p>A sixth wrote: \u201cI am genuinely so mad about tonight\u2019s Emmerdale. So unnecessary and unrealistic. But when he died in 2012, she and Cain resumed their relationship - much to the disapproval of her kids. However they stuck it out and Cain proposed in October 2013. Moira forgave Cain's affair, but this Dingle is a repeat offender \u2013 and was soon having it away with the village vicar, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/2024\/10\/16\/harriet-finch-emmerdale-vicar-police-katherine-dow-blytons-tears-death\/\">Harriet Finch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After that fling ended badly, Cain found his way back to his wife. But she was no angel and ended up cheating with Nate Robinson \u2013 who turned out to be Cain's long-lost son.<\/p>\n<h2>Stumbling blocks for the Dingles<\/h2>\n<p>Their marriage got back on track, but was hit by another stumbling block when Cain took the blame for the death of Al Chapman. In fact, Cain's son, Kyle, shot the baddie and Cain was covering for him.<\/p>\n<p>Moira stood by him, despite the fact it meant him going to prison for life. However, Kyle confessed and Cain was let out.<\/p>\n<p>Their marriage hit another bump again recently when Moira began behaving strangely.
