In Emmerdale, there are a fair few characters that are sticking around in the village despite having hardly any ties.<\/p>

With Amelia Spencer soon to be leaving the soap, we\u2019ve compiled a list of everyone who could do with starting afresh somewhere else.<\/p>\n

1. Jai<\/h2>\n

Jai used to be at the centre of the village, running the sweet factory with Rishi. The Sharmas \u2013 Jai, Rishi, Nikhil and Priya used to be a key family in the soap but now they\u2019ve all moved away or have died out.<\/p>\n

With Suni and Amit leaving the village earlier this year, Jai only really has Archie left now who he could easily take with him on his travels should he leave.<\/p>\n

Now that his marriage with Laurel has ended<\/a>, what\u2019s really keeping Jai around?<\/p>
