Last night\u2019s episode of Emmerdale saw Joe Tate<\/a> making a secretive phone call as he struggled with his demons and mysterious health issues. This came as his apparent painkiller addiction took its toll.<\/p>

Dawn was shocked to find Joe passed out in his car (haphazardly parked up in a ditch) with a bottle of pills at his side. He later revealed that he\u2019s been struggling with an addiction to painkillers \u2013 assuring her that he\u2019d be seeking help for the problem.<\/p>\n

He then slunk back into his bedroom, where he made a phone call to an unknown figure<\/a>, revealing: \u201cHey\u2026 we\u2019ve got a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe continued: \u201cThe thing that I didn\u2019t want to happen\u2026 it happened. It\u2019s just it\u2019s getting a bit more obvious now. I don\u2019t know how long I\u2019ve got until people start noticing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Little did Joe know, but Kim<\/a> was listening in on the conversation, having bugged his room. As she listened to the recording later, her eyebrow twitched at the revelation, her curiosity piqued.<\/p>
