When Emmerdale brought Joe Tate<\/a> back on at the end of 2024, there was a clear mystery. But two months on and we still have no answers. It\u2019s time for Emmerdale to give us some \u2013 without killing him off.<\/p>

There have been so many different theories<\/a> as to what\u2019s actually wrong with Joe. And while last night we looked like we were about to get some answers<\/a>, we still don\u2019t actually know anything.<\/p>\n

Viewers were thrilled at his return announcement. But his mystery storyline is becoming extreme and lengthy, when it could be neatly wrapped up. And with so much potential for his character, killing him off would be a huge mistake.<\/p>\n

Why Emmerdale should not kill Joe Tate<\/h2>\n

If it is to be revealed that Emmerdale did truly bring Ned Porteous<\/a> back just to give Joe a final exit, what was the point? They could have left it as it was so that there was always that opportunity for a return.<\/p>\n

Not to mention, his return storyline hasn\u2019t actually brought that much to further plots. Yes, he was linked to Will\u2019s exit, and he\u2019s providing somewhat of a storyline for Noah<\/a>. And there is the whole affair with Dawn.<\/p>
