Joe Tate in Emmerdale is a mystery wrapped in an enigma, bundled up in a puzzle and sprinkled with lies. In short, he\u2019s very confusing indeed!<\/p>

He first arrived in Emmerdale years ago, claiming to be Tom Waterhouse, wooing Debbie in order to take revenge on killing his dad, Chris (which she didn\u2019t do). And frankly it\u2019s been downhill since then.<\/p>\n

Stealing Caleb\u2019s kidney<\/a> was a definite low point, but there\u2019s the sneaking around, the seduction of Dawn \u2013 it\u2019s a lot.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got to be honest, we\u2019re a bit bewildered by it all. Here\u2019s what\u2019s got us scratching our heads about Mr Tate.<\/p>

Why did he steal Caleb\u2019s kidney?<\/h2>\n

We know we\u2019ve been over this before, but we still can\u2019t quite get our heads round all the sneaky lying, subterfuge, kidnapping, spiking, stabbings and cover-ups being an easier way to get a kidney than just using the good old NHS. Even if it was the second-time round.<\/p>
