Ross and Steph in Emmerdale are the best couple the soap has had in ages. There. We said it. And we mean it.<\/p>

In reality, Ross is actually the best character<\/a> in Emmerdale full stop. But his partnership with Steph just works.<\/p>\n

Come to think of it, they are gearing up to be the new Caleb and Ruby \u2013 solid no matter what life throws at them. We just hope they can weather the storms too.<\/p>\n

Ross was amazing in Thursday\u2019s episode<\/h2>\n

As Steph had a complete meltdown over her failed surgery attempts, she launched an abusive attack on Ross. He only tried to comfort her. He was sweet, kind and understanding. Despite his gruff, bad boy exterior, he has a soft inside \u2013 and we love to see it.<\/p>\n

Trying his best to offer words of comfort to Steph, Ross stayed calm. She insulted him, abused him and physically beat him, begging her to hit him back.<\/p>
