Hari is desperate to make it work, though, so he decides to \u2018borrow\u2019 some money from the vet\u2019s, despite the financial problems the business is having.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Gray\u2019s interested to hear Hari\u2019s going ahead with buying the horse, but Paddy\u2019s suspicious. When Jo realises there is money missing, she starts to investigate only for Hari to sack her on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>Hari admits to Gray that he\u2019s borrowed the money from the business to buy the racehorse, and Gray agrees to act as his partner \u2013 but in an advisory role only.<\/p>\n<p>When the horse \u2013 Boomer \u2013 runs well in training, Hari says he\u2019s going to enter him in a race. Jonny warns he isn\u2019t fully fit but Hari insists.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Jo knows too much<\/h2>\n<p>Jo\u2019s annoyed to find Katie enjoying watching her struggle to look after Sarah. When Katie tells Chas what\u2019s happened, Paul overhears and dashes to be with Perdy. She\u2019s worried she\u2019s had another miscarriage. As her pain gets worse, Paul takes her to hospital and gets Jonny to contact Gray.<\/p>\n<p>At the hospital, Gray\u2019s shocked to hear Perdy had an ectopic pregnancy and in order to save her life they need to perform a hysterectomy.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>When Perdy wakes up, Gray breaks the news. She\u2019s devastated and worried about their marriage. She begs Gray not to tell Rosemary. Back at the cottage, Paul fills Jonny in on the sad news.<\/p>\n<p>Gray and Paul are worried about Perdy when she seems calm. Paul urges Gray to reassure her that he\u2019ll stay by her side, but Perdy is adamant the marriage won\u2019t last.<\/p>\n<p>Back home, Perdy and Gray are interrupted by Rosemary. She senses there\u2019s more to Perdy\u2019s hospital stay and pushes her to admit she\u2019s had a hysterectomy. Rosemary\u2019s upset that her dreams for grandchildren have fallen apart.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Gray\u2019s pleased when his mum seems supportive, but soon she\u2019s telling him he needs to leave Perdy. Gray tells her they\u2019re sticking together.<\/p>\n<p>But it seems Perdy isn\u2019t coping so well when she throws pregnant Lauren out as she arrives to do some cleaning.<\/p>\n<h2>Debbie lashes out<\/h2><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Elsewhere, Debbie scolds Kelly about her engagement but wanting to get the upper hand, Kelly announces they\u2019re having a party to celebrate \u2013 tonight!<\/p>\n<p>Scott gets in touch with Debbie and asks her to buy a present for the happy couple, Debbie\u2019s disgruntled but Eli thinks it\u2019s an easy way to get an invitation. Later, Kelly\u2019s disappointed by the turnout and fuming at the present \u2013 matching prisoner costumes for her and Jimmy!<\/p>\n<p>Eli and Debbie celebrate and their good mood almost turns into something more until Debbie pulls away. Later, she dismisses his suggestion that they make peace with Kelly, while Kelly dismisses Eli\u2019s apology.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Sadness for Betty in Classic Emmerdale preview<\/h2>\n<p>Betty is worried when her dog Charlie goes missing. Sam finds the pooch, who\u2019s passed away in Seth\u2019s hut, and tells Betty the news. She\u2019s upset to lose her last link to Seth and says she wants to scatter Charlie\u2019s ashes next to his former master.<\/p>\n<h2>It all kicks off at the pageant<\/h2><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Tempers fray over the pageant arrangements with Louise and Alan arguing. Jasmine watches on, ready to write a newspaper article about it all!<\/p>\n<p>Alan and Louise bicker. Louise criticises the lack of celebs for the pageant and Alan takes a swipe at Louise\u2019s \u2018tacky\u2019 ideas. But they\u2019re soon left dealing with a much bigger problem!<\/p>\n<p>When they wake up the next day, they find their floats have been destroyed by a herd of escaped cows. Alan\u2019s pleased that the pageant needs to be cancelled, while Louise is quick to point the finger at him, claiming sabotage. Belle feels guilty as Alan is criticised by the villagers. She\u2019s about to reveal all, when he announces he\u2019s determined to find the culprit.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Later, Alan\u2019s annoyed to see Jasmine\u2019s written an article about the pageant disaster. Guilty Belle confesses her part in the whole thing to Rosemary, who tells her to confess to Alan. He\u2019s furious. He exposes her as the culprit in front of all the Dingles. Lisa is upset that Belle confided in Rosemary, and Zak tells Belle she needs to come clean to the villagers.<\/p>\n<h2>Carl\u2019s unsettled \u2013 but what\u2019s he hiding?<\/h2>\n<p>Scarlett tries to persuade Carrie to move to the village. But she\u2019s struggling with the increasing influence Jimmy has over her daughter. When Carrie spots a bullying text message on Scarlett\u2019s phone she\u2019s thoughtful, but she\u2019s distracted when Jimmy turns up and they have a big row.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Later, Matthew calls a board meeting about his plans for Mill Brook Cottage, but he\u2019s not aware that Jimmy\u2019s planning or it to be a home for Carrie and Scarlett. When Matthew interrupts Jimmy showing them round, Carrie\u2019s annoyed that she\u2019s stuck in the middle of the Kings\u2019 power struggles. Scarlett though loves the new house and asks her mum if they can stay at Home Farm while they wait for the building work to be done, but Carrie says no.<\/p>\n<p>Chas is confused by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/box\/carl-king-comeuppance-emmerdale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carl\u2019s reaction to everything that\u2019s gone on recently<\/a>, and it gets worse when she offers to have Carrie and Scarlett stay at Dale View instead.<\/p>\n<p>When Carl gives Carrie the guided tour, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/characters\/emmerdale-carrie-nicholls-role-tom-king-murder-many-secrets-where-actress-linda-lusardi-is-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it is revealed they had a one-night stand<\/a>, but Carl is hurt when Carrie trivialises it.
