Emmerdale star Bradley Riches<\/a> has responded to criticism regarding his new character Lewis Barton.<\/p>

Bradley first appeared on Emmerdale as the newest Barton boy last month. And since then a lot of fans have grown to love his character, and his relationship with Ross. As well as appreciating all the behind the scenes TikTok\u2019s<\/a> that he has been getting the cast to participate in.<\/p>\n

But it seems some viewers have been trolling Bradley over his character. And now, he has taken to Instagram to respond to the negativity.<\/p>\n

Bradley Riches responds to Lewis criticism<\/h2>\n

The character of Lewis Barton<\/a> is Emmerdale\u2019s first neurodivergent character, and he also happens to be gay. And it seems to be these things, along with the fact he wears nail polish, that some people have been cruelly trolling Bradley for.<\/p>\n

Even off-screen Bradley<\/a> has been an advocate for neurodivergent awareness for years, and he hoped to be able to spread even more awareness through his portrayal of Lewis.<\/p>
