Emmerdale this week has seen Paddy sitting by Aaron Dingle\u2019s hospital bed as he fights for his life \u2013 but why does Paddy see himself as Aaron\u2019s real dad?<\/p>

Aaron Dingle <\/a>found himself in danger recently after he discovered the extent of husband John\u2019s lies. Not one to admit defeat, John grabbed Aaron and pulled him over the edge of a gorge.<\/p>\n

Paddy vows to be a \u2018better dad\u2019<\/h2>\n

Following the cliff plunge disaster, <\/a>Aaron\u2019s mum Chas has been beside herself with worry. Along with fianc\u00e9 Liam, her ex Paddy has been at the hospital.<\/p>\n

Paddy Kirk<\/a> sat by Aaron\u2019s bedside and willed him to get better. Chas placed a comforting hand on Paddy\u2019s shoulder and referred to Aaron as \u201cour boy\u201d.<\/p>
