In Emmerdale, Victoria Sugden is delighted to have discovered a new half-brother, John<\/a>. But John\u2019s prickly nature and love of keeping secrets isn\u2019t going down well with family-loving Vic.<\/p>

We caught up with Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria, to find out how she\u2019s feeling about the new member of her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she\u2019s very happy,\u201d Isabel tells us. \u201cI think she\u2019s been on her own for quite a while. Emmerdale can be a lonely place when you haven\u2019t got any family. So I think she\u2019s thrilled that she\u2019s finally got another Sugden around.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slow burner!<\/h2>\n

Though John was initially desperate to leave the village, he seems to be settling in. Does that mean he\u2019s starting to warm to his new-found sister?<\/p>\n

\u201cI think ever so slightly,\u201d laughs Isabel. \u201cHe\u2019s a slow, he\u2019s a slow burner that one. So it\u2019s taken a while, but he\u2019s starting to come around. But he really doesn\u2019t care about the Sugdens. He\u2019s very much thinking that he\u2019s staying in the village until he can drive off in his van.\u201d<\/p>
