Caleb took a trip to the hospital to visit Helen, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/2024\/06\/20\/ruby-fox-miligan-emmerdale-ruthless-wife-mother-kill\/\">Ruby<\/a>\u2018s mum. She\u2019s dying and wants to reconnect with her daughter. Caleb was adamant Helen would not get anywhere near Ruby, clearly there\u2019s no love lost here. Years ago, Helen apparently tried to pay Caleb to ditch Ruby and then she told Ruby to get an abortion when she fell pregnant, and then she cut her off with nothing when Ruby refused. Mum of the year right here!<\/p>\n<p>But Helen hit back: \u201cHave you seen anything of Stepha\u2026\u201d Caleb cut her off before she could finish telling her not to mention his \u2018kids\u201d names. So that means there is another child, one that Ruby and Caleb never speak of\u2026 What\u2019s happened to her? And just how long before this Stephanie arrives in the Dales? A dying woman elicits a certain amount of sympathy, but given what she did to her daughter, should we really care? That\u2019s Chas who gave her a place to live when she had nowhere and no one and who is letting her stay despite her siding with Tom over Chas\u2019s family, Belle. Cheeky mare.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, Amelia was also doing a\u00a0<em>really<\/em> bad job of pretending she hadn\u2019t heard from Tom, she even got Jimmy\u2019s suspicions up, which is no mean feat.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Later on, Amy managed to convince Amelia to have a chat about things. She told Amelia she was worried about her, but Amelia just sung Tom\u2019s praises. She doubled down on her accusations that Belle is making the whole thing up and she is the devil. Amy continued to try the gentle approach and Amelia did look like Amy was getting through to her. But honestly, we think she is so stupid, nothing is ever going to get really make her see sense until Tom shows his true colours to her \u2013 and even then, we\u2019re not so sure.<\/p>\n<h2>Moira struggled with her condition<\/h2>\n<p>Cain continued to try and be supportive to Moira, but his bullish approach might not be the one.<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Together they sat down to explain what was going on to Kyle and Isaac. But Moira didn\u2019t exactly do it subtly and was quite dismissive of her son\u2019s tears. Cain and Chas were worried as Moira clearly had no idea she was upsetting everybody. However, was Cain\u2019s \u2018everything will be fine\u2019 way of tackling it really the best idea either?<\/p>\n<p>Chas later told Moira she was being a bit too blunt, and Moira was devastated she had lost her self-awareness. Terrified of brain surgery and fearful she\u2019ll be one of the \u2018unlucky ones\u2019 who doesn\u2019t make it, Moira is really struggling. It\u2019s going to be a long road through this, but Cain has promised to be by her side. Ruby was in hell as Caleb was late, but then she and Mandy started to get on like a house on fire and she ended up having a \u201cbrilliant time\u201d. New BFFs forever then!<\/p><div class=\"dbxgas:ad-container dbxgas:double-mpu-container dbxgas:block dbxgas:md:hidden\"><div class=\"dbxgas:slot\" data-ad-slot=\"inarticle\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Elsewhere, Will is still moping around and whinging about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvguide.co.uk\/emmerdale-insider\/2024\/09\/11\/whos-blackmailing-will-emmerdale-all-the-suspects-who-could-be-behind-his-torment\/\">his very scary blackmailer<\/a>. The fact he hasn\u2019t worked all this out yet is just another piece of proof, if ever we needed one, that he is no match for the great Kim Tate.<\/p>\n<p>However, he did have one insight that might just put us back on his side, he managed to remind Jimmy how he didn\u2019t always trust Tom. Jimmy insisted things had changed and Tom wasn\u2019t faking his heartbreak.
