Chefs from the North West serve up their canapes, starters and fish dishes on an animation and illustration theme. They include a Womble burrow full to bursting with roasted fungi from Stockport, mushroom broth, mushroom cookie and sunflower seed hummus, and a tomato ponzu-dressed romaine lettuce with broad beans prepared three ways, inspired by Dennis the Menace. There's also a black and white dish inspired by Aardman's penguin villain Feathers McGraw, made up of a Brazilian kibe savoury bulgur wheatcake layered with miso and tarragon oyster mushrooms, and a dish of broccoli, sea herbs and sea foam inspired by Frank Cottrell Boyce's The Astounding Broccoli Boy
