The criminologist travels to Coatbridge, South Lanarkshire, as he explores the concept of guilt by examining the case of 11-year-old Moira Anderson, who vanished during a blizzard in 1957. He meets Sandra Brown, a child protection campaigner and author who has a personal link to Moira Anderson's disappearance, who tells David about the family secrets which have affected the trajectory of her entire life. Later, consultant forensic psychologist Vicky Thakordas-Desai joins David for a discussion about the psychology of guilty
