The contestants head back to medieval times in the semi-finals, preparing a banquet for 80 guests at Coombe Abbey, a former 12th-century monastery in rural Warwickshire. On their return to the MasterChef kitchen, they are challenged to impress the judges with a pie of their choice, before two are chosen to leave the contest
