Betsy Swain finds herself spending the night in a police cell in Coronation Street after an attack on DI Costello in spoilers for Fri, Oct 23.
And, in another corner of the Street, Bethany creates an awkward situation for herself as she accuses Hope of stealing from a customer.
Here’s everything that’s happening in Coronation Street spoilers for Fri, Oct 23.
1. Betsy’s arrested
Kit informs Lisa that Betsy Swain‘s been arrested, with Lisa immediately blaming Becky for Betsy’s behaviour while believing it to be triggered by her mum’s fake death.
In the police interview room, an officer informs Becky that DI Costello has accused her of damaging a police car, resisting arrest and trying to attack him.
2. Costello has words with Becky
With Becky taking the ‘no comment’ approach, Costello meets up with Becky and warns her to leave Weatherfield before something more serious happens to Betsy.
3. Bethany accuses Hope
Bethany starts her first shift at the salon after accepting the job offer from Audrey.
With Hope being on work experience, Bethany manages her. When a customer comes in and shows them some ‘miracle pills’ they’ve been using for their hair and nails, Bethany tells Hope that it’s just false advertising.
However, when the customer goes to leave, the pills are gone. Believing that Hope took them, Bethany then goes to check her bag but ends up having to deal with a split stoma.
4. Asha’s family worries about her
Asha comes back home but snaps at her dad before apologising to him and reassuring him that she’ll be fine home alone.
Bernie can’t help but feel the need to protect Asha though and plans to have words with Naomi before she hurts someone else too…
5. Tracy comes up with a plan
Tracy has had enough of Cassie taking up space in her house and sets out to do something about it.
Hearing Fiz talk about her favourite band, Tracy buys tickets to their gig and hands them to Cassie.
She reckons that if Cassie gifts them to Fiz, she’ll let her live in the house again… Will her plan work?
