Bear gets bail, but fresh trauma pushes him to breaking point next week
Things are getting worse for BearBear Wolf has been granted bail in Emmerdale for killing Ray Walters, but he is far from okay and next week he explodes as he struggles to cope with his feelings.
With Bear determined to be punished for what he has done, Paddy is desperate to keep his dad safe and free. And it all comes to a head with devastating consequences.

Bear gets bail in Emmerdale
After being charged with manslaughter, Bear got ready to face the court tonight (Thursday February 19). Paddy was a nervous wreck as he worried for his dad’s future after all he’d been through.
However the solicitor was encouraging. She said the manslaughter charge was a good indication that the CPS are taking Bear’s mental health seriously. They can plead self-defence and likely get a suspended sentence.
But Bear had other ideas. He announced he was pleading guilty. He had committed the crime and therefore the only honorable thing to do was face up to his punishment.
Paddy desperately tried to convince him otherwise and it seemed to have worked when Bear was later brought home on bail.
But things still weren’t good. Bear broke down about what he’d done and Mandy was worried about him.
Paddy, however, is now convinced Bear will get off. He won’t hear otherwise, despite the fact Bear could still go down. He’s keeping positive.
The same can’t be said for Bear who is clearly not coping. At all.

Emmerdale spoilers reveal Bear breaks down
Next week Ray is being buried. Laurel is worried about it happening with no one there, so persuades Charles to go on her behalf. However he soon gets Laurel to come along as well.
Meanwhile, Paddy, Mandy and Dylan are determined to keep Ray’s funeral from Bear at all costs. But Claudette accidentally lets slip where she, Charles and Laurel are going and Bear immediately wants to go too.
Laurel protests that it’s not a good idea, but Bear is adamant. However when Paddy finds out, he explodes at Laurel for allowing Bear to attend. He knows seeing Ray’s body will set his dad back.
It’s not long before Bear starts raging in Paddy’s face and it’s clear he has been broken again. He heads off to drink alone, where Laurel finds him and tells him she is there for him whenever he needs.
Bear continues to spiral, desperately craving the medication Ray was giving to him. But Manpreet refuses to prescribe the pills.
Instead Bear heads off to the hospital, completely distressed and desperate. Will he finally get the help he really needs?
