It’s been a while since we last saw Bernice, after she committed fraud in her sister Nicola’s name back in 2023.
But now, two years later, Bernice is back in the village for Gabby’s wedding day. So, is she sticking around? And what’s to come for Bernice?

Bernice is back!
In tonight’s visit to Emmerdale (September 15), Bernice made her surprise return.
Just as Gabby was getting ready for her big day, with Kim, Laurel and Arthur, Bernice marches in and declares that she doesn’t think there should be a wedding.
Gabby plays dumb, but it’s clear she knows exactly what Bernice is talking about.
But after the bride-to-be headed to have a chat with Vinny, she returned and told Bernice that the wedding would be going ahead.
Not happy, Bernice ended up sitting alone on a bench outside, just as Nicola and Bob appeared.
Nicola was instantly furious at Bernice for returning, but Bob seemed to be quite pleased…
Is Samantha Giles staying?
While Emmerdale fans may be thrilled to have Bernice back on their screens, it was reported that it would only be a temporary return.
Back in June, when Bernice’s return was reported, The Sun confirmed it would not be a permanent comeback.
They reported: “Everything is being kept hush hush. But of course Bernice’s return is a big deal as one of the soap’s most loved characters.
“And Samantha being back among the cast is a real win too. Everyone loves working with her.”
But just because Bernice isn’t sticking around long-term doesn’t mean she can’t cause a bit of chaos while she’s here.
What does Bernice get up to while in Emmerdale?
Emmerdale spoilers for this week has shown that Bob might be the only person happy to have Bernice back.
After getting the cold shoulder from Gabby and Nicola, Bernice turns to Bob for comfort.
She admits she doesn’t know if she’ll ever be forgiven for her past and is determined to build bridges.
Later, Bernice and Bob share a bottle of wine and a trip down memory lane. Conversation soon turns to their romantic history and it’s clear there’s still a spark. But will they act on it?
